Abstract(s)
This work was realized out to conclude the Master of Health and Safety at Work, made at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal at the Superior School of Business Sciences in partnership with a Superior School of Technology in Setúbal. Its objective is to effected out the analysis, assessment and control of existing risks and to register, investigate and analyze accidents at work in a company in the production sector in the textile industry for the automotive and aeronautics sectors. Risk analysis is one of the fundamental measures for preventing various risks or implementing measures, in order to minimize the risks that workers are exposed to on a daily basis. The accident investigation makes it possible to identify the most relevant causes in order to reduce risks in order to avoid accidents. After an analysis of observation, acquisition of information and identification of various hazards in the field, the criteria for assessing the consequence and probability for the realization of the risk matrix by the MARS method were elaborated and defined for all existing activities practiced by the company under study. In parallel, information was acquired, which was supply by the organization under study on accidents from 2015 to May 30, 2020 and was analyzed according to RIAAT in order to minimize accidents at work. Then, after the evaluation, they were proposed as risk control and accident prevention measures. All measures must be implemented, as it aims to minimize the risk to the maximum. When analyzing how dies we can see that an activity that presents more dangers is working with sewing machines that cause bruising or bruising with a wound on the fingers, in the production department and in the intermediate warehouse, this is one of the activities that has the most intervention level level II, where control measures should be corrected and adopted first. This accident happens mainly to women under 30 years old, with the professional category of trainee and qualified seamstresses. Through the RIAAT information, several contributing factors were found that gave rise to accidents such as fatigue and the stress transmitted by pressure to obtain production. In the workplace factors, thermal discomfort, repetitive and monotonous tasks and inexperience of operators were detected. Regarding organizational and management factors, the lack of communication, level of supervision (if the role of the supervisor or leader is well understood), a human-machine interface (including ergonomic aspects), execution of training and risk assessment were noted. (recommendations and information).
