O turismo cultural e criativo é cada vez mais um veículo importante para o desenvolvimento
económico de uma região, constituindo um fator de atratividade que potencia a competitividade
do destino e nesse contexto o Festival BPM - Portugal constitui um exemplo de uma manifestação
de turismo criativo no Algarve que tem propiciado o desenvolvimento económico de Portimão e
Lagoa.
Da análise dos estudos e demais elementos que servem de base a esta dissertação, resulta que o
festival constitui um meio de promoção de bem-estar dos residentes e visitantes, dado que permite
diversificar a economia local e presente uma possibilidade de combate à sazonalidade. Difunde a
cultura e a história mediterrâneas, atrai visitantes interessados no conhecimento das tradições e
mais importante, atrai visitantes interessados na vivência de experiências e envolvimento com o
meio.
O Festival BPM - Portugal constitui um foco de atração turística nesta região algarvia e assumese
como um evento que projeta o território além - fronteiras.
Cultural and creative tourism is an increasingly important vehicle for the economic development of a region, constituting a factor of attractiveness that enhances the competitiveness of the destination and in this context the BPM Festival - Portugal is an example of a manifestation of creative tourism in the Algarve which has led to the economic development of Portimão and Lagoa. The analysis of the studies and other elements that underlie this dissertation, it turns out that the festival is a means of promoting the wellbeing of residents and visitors, since it allows to diversify the local economy and present a possibility to combat seasonality. Spreads Mediterranean culture and history, attracts visitors interested in the knowledge of traditions and more importantly, attracts visitors interested in experiencing experiences and involvement with the environment. The BPM Festival - Portugal is a focus of tourist attraction in this region of Algarve and is an event that projects the territory beyond the borders.
