Abstract(s)
do texto poético.
This report substantiates a study carried out in Course Unit Estágio nos 1.º e 2.º Ciclos, focusing on the integration of Portuguese and Musical Education in the 2nd Cycle, specifically the incorporation of music into poetry teaching. Given the need to reform pedagogical practices to promote more meaningful learning, the study explores how the musicalization of poetry can enrich the teaching-learning experience, particularly in the 6th grade. The research was motivated by the observation that transmissive methods often fail to engage students effectively and by the interest in developing innovative approaches to the teaching of Literary Education. The main objective is to understand how the integration of poetry and music can foster creative expression and the development of oral and written skills, framed within the essential learnings of Literary Education. During the study, a qualitative methodology was adopted to understand the perceptions of both students and the cooperating teacher regarding poetic texts and their integration with Music Education. To achieve the proposed objectives, data were collected through participant observation, including field notes, a logbook, photographic, audio, and video recordings, as well as document analysis, specifically the students’ work. Additionally, a questionnaire was administered to students to understand their initial perceptions, and a Focus Group interview was conducted to explore their final views. A semi-structured interview was also conducted with the cooperating teacher. These techniques enabled a comprehensive analysis of the interaction between students and the activities of listening, writing, reading, and sonorizing poetry, as well as the teacher’s perceptions of the effectiveness and impact of these practices. In summary, the integration of poetry and music proved to be an effective pedagogical approach to enrich the educational process, demonstrating that music can transform the literary experience and make education more meaningful and engaging for students. The study highlights the importance of innovative practices in Literary Education and the need to adapt teaching methodologies to contemporary demands.
