| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho procura compreender de que forma a comunicação, em particular nos media, influencia a perceção e a vivência do fenómeno em análise. Partindo de diferentes perspetivas teóricas e de exemplos concretos, a investigação não se limita a descrever o contexto, mas procura também refletir sobre os impactos sociais e culturais que dele resultam. No decurso do estudo, evidenciam-se três dimensões centrais: em primeiro lugar, a forma como determinados discursos influenciam a opinião pública; em segundo lugar, a articulação entre esses discursos e as práticas do quotidiano; e, por fim, as implicações que daí resultam para a construção de significados coletivos. Mais do que propor respostas definitivas, este trabalho pretende abrir espaço à problematização das narrativas dominantes. Considera-se especialmente relevante sublinhar que, no caso português, determinadas especificidades históricas e culturais introduzem nuances próprias, que merecem ser reconhecidas. Em síntese, a investigação procurará contribuir para uma compreensão mais ampla e crítica do tema, aproximando teoria e prática e convidando o leitor a ultrapassar as leituras mais imediatas. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This work seeks to understand how communication, particularly in the media, influences the perception and experience of the phenomenon under analysis. Drawing on different theoretical perspectives and concrete examples, the research does not merely describe the context but also seeks to reflect on the social and cultural impacts that result from it. Throughout the study, three main dimensions are highlighted: first, the way in which certain discourses shape public opinion; second, the relationship between these discourses and everyday practices; and third, the implications that arise from them for the construction of collective meanings. Rather than proposing definitive answers, this work aims to create space for questioning dominant narratives. It is considered especially relevant to emphasize that, in the Portuguese case, certain historical and cultural specificities introduce their own nuances, which deserve recognition. In summary, the research seeks to contribute to a broader and more critical understanding of the topic, bridging theory and practice and inviting the reader to go beyond more immediate interpretations. | eng |
