Abstract(s)
O presente projeto de investigação, intitulado “Expressão Gráfico-Plástica – Conceções e Práticas das Educadoras” tem como objectivo compreender e interpretar de que forma as conceções e ideias pedagógicas das educadoras, acerca da expressão gráfico-plástica, assumem repercussões na construção do seu currículo com crianças da primeira e segunda infância.
Ao realizar este estudo, senti a necessidade de optar por uma metodologia de trabalho, que possibilitasse interpretar as informações recolhidas em dois contextos educativos (creche e jardim de infância), bem como as intervenções que realizei no sentido de valorizar e enriquecer a expressão gráfico-plástica nesses mesmos contextos. Assim, este trabalho tem como base a Investigação-ação e tem como intuito articular os fundamentos teóricos da investigação em educação com as experiências vividas durante os períodos de estágio em creche e em jardim-de-infância. Nesta investigação evidenciam-se as características da investigação-ação que cooperam para que haja uma mudança educativa que promova uma melhoria nas dinâmicas utilizadas, na indagação e reflexão permanente, no que diz respeito à expressão gráfico-plástica.
As principais fontes de recolha de informação são a observação participante, as entrevistas às educadoras e a análise documental.
Os contextos de estudo estão enquadrados nas instituições onde foram desenvolvidos os estágios no âmbito do curso Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e as intervenientes do estudo são as educadoras cooperantes que me acompanharam no decorrer dos estágios.
Consegui inferir com este estudo que, efetivamente, a expressão gráfico-plástica é valorizada nas práticas de ambas as equipa pedagógica, enquanto atividade fundamental para o processo de desenvolvimento/aprendizagem da criança.
This investigation project, named “Graphic-Plastic Expression – Ideas and Practices of the Preschool Educators” has, as it's main purpose, to understand and study how the preschool teacher’s established ideas and concepts of the plastic and graphic expression will impact and have a leading role in the educational relationship they create with their students, from early to older ages. While conducting this study I felt the need to adopt a methodology that would allow the analysis of the information collected in two different educational backgrounds (daycare and kindergarten) as well as the impact of the suggestions I made to enrich the graphic and plastic expressions. Therefore, this assignment has its foundation on an action-investigation based approach and its main purpose is to articulate the theoretical fundamentals applied on educational studies with the experiences I acknowledged during the internship in both daycare and kindergarden. In this investigation I highlight the characteristics of an action-investigation based approach and its impact on promoting educational change, namely through improvements in the applied dynamics, encouraging constant reflection on the graphic and plastic expression practices. The main sources of information were the active-observation, the questionnaire to the educators and the documents analysis. The study's setting is directly linked to both of the institutions I worked in, as a Master student of Pre-School Education, and all the participants in the investigation were my fellow internship colleagues. With the development of the investigation we came to the conclusion that the graphic and plastic expression has, indeed, a pivotal role to the pedagogical team as a key tool in the progressive growth of the children.
