Abstract(s)
A apresentação e discussão pública deste
Toda a explanação será guiada
segurança do cliente perioperatório.
This report is the result of the first master’s degree in medical-surgical nursing at Escola Superior de Saúde de Santa Maria, which took place in the academic years 2021- 2022 and 2022-2023. The presentation and public discussion of this document are aimed at obtaining a master's degree in the specialty mentioned above. The goal is to demonstrate the improvement of specialist skills in perioperative nursing and the acquisition and development of second-cycle skills using a critical-reflective analysis of the academic and professional journey. So, this presentation will be based on knowledge acquired in the curricular units, the clinical practices of the course, and the experience already gained as a result of more than five years of professional practice in the area. The entire explanation will be guided by Regulation n. º 140/2019 of February 6 and Regulation n. º 429/2018 of July 16, as well as Decree-Law n.º 65/2018 of August 16, which describes the competencies related to the academic degree of Specialist and Master, respectively. Surgical safety, as one of the main concerns of perioperative nursing, and digital health, as the driving force behind a transformation in the way healthcare is provided and managed, were two topics that deserved particular attention in this report. From this interest emerged an integrative review to determine the value of mobile applications in promoting perioperative patient safety. This led to the conclusion that some evidence of their usefulness exists, but more research is needed to demonstrate the relationship between these two concepts with certainty. The reflection contributed to an awareness of the skills acquired and the importance of continuous investment in personal and professional training. This is the guarantee of safety, congruent with surgical awareness, and the promotion of scientific and grounded practice, concomitant with acquiring second-cycle competencies.
