Liderança nĂŁo Ă© um tema atual, pode-se afirmar que Ă© um grande desafio. PorĂ©m nas Ășltimas
décadas presenciamos uma grande mudança no mundo corporativo e consequentemente ouve-
se um discurso sobre uma liderança eficaz, e que é precursora do sucesso de uma empresa.
Os lĂderes sĂŁo agentes de mudança e exige-se habilidades estratĂ©gicas, ou seja, competĂȘncias
que influenciam e constroem um bom ambiente de trabalho e que sĂŁo determinantes para
alcançar os objetivos da empresa.
O desafio colocado na presente investigação foi compreender quais as competĂȘncias essenciais
para um lĂder, neste sentido procura-se identificar e compreender o que Ă© competĂȘncia, quais
sĂŁo as competĂȘncias de um lĂder, quais as competĂȘncias valorizadas no trabalho em equipa e
compreender a influĂȘncia do lĂder no trabalho em equipa
Sabe-se que a liderança Ă© uma habilidade â inata ou adquirida â de inspirar os outros,
influenciando as açÔes, decisÔes e comportamentos de maneira positiva em prol de todos os
integrantes da equipa.
Em termos metodolĂłgicos realiza-se uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza exploratĂłria, a partir
de uma revisão teórica sobre os principais conceitos envolvidos de liderança no ùmbito
organizacional e para o trabalho em equipa.
O estudo empĂrico foi efetuado com onze profissionais de diferentes empresas, idades e
profissÔes dentro de Portugal e os resultados obtidos foram estimulados com perguntas abertas
que facilitaram a revelação do quotidiano e a perceção quanto as expectativas de uma liderança
eficaz.
A investigação permitiu-nos concluir que âliderarâ nĂŁo Ă© uma tarefa fĂĄcil, por esta razĂŁo,
pretendemos compreender como a liderança afeta o crescimento e desenvolvimento da
empresa, como também no ambiente de trabalho.
Portanto, este estudo apresenta o que se espera de uma liderança eficaz. Embora sejam
necessårias mais pesquisas em outras organizaçÔes para generalizar os resultados obtidos, a
maior contribuição deste estudo Ă© que, com base na experiĂȘncia dos entrevistados, a liderança
Ă© percebida e valorizada pelos liderados.
Leadership is not a current topic; it can be said that it is a great challenge. However, in recent decades we have witnessed a major change in the corporate world and consequently we hear a discourse about effective leadership, which is a precursor to a company's success. Leaders are agents of change and strategic skills are required, that is, skills that influence and build a good work environment and that are decisive for achieving the company's objectives. The challenge posed in this research was to understand what skills are essential for a leader. In this sense, we seek to identify and understand what competence is, what the skills of a leader are, what skills are valued in teamwork and understand the influence of leader in teamwork. It is known that leadership is an ability â innate or acquired â to inspire others, influencing actions, decisions, and behaviors in a positive way for the benefit of all team members. In methodological terms, qualitative research of an exploratory nature was carried out, based on a theoretical review of the main concepts involved in leadership within the organizational scope and teamwork. The empirical study was carried out with eleven professionals from different companies, ages and professions within Portugal and the results obtained were stimulated with open questions that facilitated the revelation of daily life and the perception of the expectations of effective leadership. The research allowed us to conclude that âleadingâ is not an easy task, for this reason, we intend to understand how leadership affects the growth and development of the company, as well as the work environment. Therefore, this study presents what is expected from effective leadership. Although more research is needed in other organizations to generalize the results obtained, the greatest contribution of this study is that, based on the experience of the interviewees, leadership is perceived and valued by those led.
