Abstract(s)
Although we live in an industrialized society, due to the specific characteristics of each profession and the job market, there are health problems both physical and psychological. One of the negative consequences and with the greatest impact for companies are: low back pain and cervical pain that are linked to ergonomic problems at work. This time the relevance of the need for ergonomic analysis of the workstations. In this report, we sought to demonstrate the importance of assessing the risks present in the workplace, both through the theoretical presentation and through the presentation of a practical case (case study in an office environment). Specifically, it is intended to verify compliance with minimum safety and health requirements at work, identify the main hazards/risk factors to which workers are exposed, assess the prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries (LMERT). For this, the ergonomic conditions of a job in a service company were analyzed, through the use of a questionnaire, check-list and RULA. The sample consisted of ten workers from the forwarding agent Deolinda Matari office. Any factor that interferes with the worker's psychophysiological characteristics, causing discomfort or affecting his health is considered an ergonomic risk, such as inadequate posture, prolonged work, monotony and repetitiveness of movements. Improper posture, which can breed fatigue, injuries and weakness in some areas of the body such as the lower back. Repetitive movements can cause fatigue and wear, both physical and psychological. Ergonomic risks can generate psychological and physiological disorders, likely to cause serious damage to workers' health and compromise their safety and productivity. In view of this verification, a set of proposals for improvements were made, including training and information measures, medical surveillance measures and an occupational gymnastics plan, technical and organizational measures. One of the main expected results of this work is the acquisition of ergonomic equipment that respects the physical characteristics of each worker
