Abstract(s)
O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação PréEscolar e consiste num Projeto de Investigação onde é apresentado um estudo
desenvolvido em dois contextos educativos, creche e jardim-de-infância.
A temática que o relatório aborda centra-se na Importância da Utilização do
Espaço Exterior em Creche e Jardim-de-Infância e a questão de investigação a
que o projeto procura dar resposta é “Como promover a utilização do espaço
exterior em contextos de Creche e Jardim-de-Infância?”.
Tal como mencionado, foi desenvolvido um estudo em dois contextos educativos,
de modo a conseguir responder à questão de investigação. Para isto, foi adotada
uma abordagem qualitativa, mais concretamente, uma metodologia de
investigação-ação, sendo que, para recolher as informações necessárias, foram
utilizados alguns procedimentos de recolha de informação, como a observação,
as notas de campo, os meios audiovisuais, a análise documental e foram,
também, realizadas duas entrevistas, às duas educadoras cooperantes.
Dentro desta temática, realizei também algumas intervenções, tanto direta como
indiretamente, que posteriormente foram descritas e refletidas neste relatório,
permitindo que eu compreendesse de forma mais clara a importância que a
utilização do espaço exterior tem no desenvolvimento e aprendizagem das
crianças.
A realização deste estudo e a posterior construção deste relatório permitiram-me
aprofundar os meus conhecimentos relativamente ao espaço exterior e à
utilização do mesmo, conseguindo refletir e obter novos pontos de vista em
relação à importância que este espaço apresenta na educação de infância. Para
além disto, através da observação das práticas educativas das educadoras
cooperantes perante o espaço exterior, tornou-se possível refletir acerca da
importância de relacionar a teoria com a prática, valorizando sempre o interesse
e a necessidade das crianças relativamente a este tema.
This report was carried out within the scope of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and consists of a Research Project which presents a study developed in two educational contexts, nursery and kindergarten. The theme that the report addresses focuses on the Importance of Using Outdoor Space in Nursery and Kindergarten and the research question that the project seeks to answer is “How to promote the use of outdoor space in Nursery and Kindergarten contexts?” As mentioned, a study was developed in two educational contexts, in order to answer the research question. For this, a qualitative approach was adopted, more specifically, an action research methodology, and, to collect the necessary information, some information collection procedures were used, such as observation, field notes, audiovisual media, document analysis and two interviews were also carried out with the two cooperating educators. Within this theme, I also carried out some interventions, both directly and indirectly, which were later described and reflected in this report, allowing me to understand more clearly the importance that the use of outdoor space has on children's development and learning. Carrying out this study and the subsequent creation of this report allowed me to deepen my knowledge regarding outdoor space and its use, being able to reflect and obtain new points of view regarding the importance that this space presents in early childhood education. Furthermore, through observing the educational practices of cooperating educators in the outdoor space, it became possible to reflect on the importance of relating theory to practice, always valuing the interest and needs of children regarding this topic.
