Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de Projeto de Investigação centra-se na temática A Organização dos Espaços e dos Materiais em Contexto Educação de Infância.
Para o desenvolvimento deste estudo, procurei compreender o modo como eram pensados os espaços e os materiais e a forma como se encontravam organizados. Para além do mencionado, atentei na forma como as crianças se apropriavam dos mesmos.
Assim, este estudo foi desenvolvido no âmbito da metodologia de investigação qualitativa e da metodologia de investigação – ação. No sentido de dar resposta à questão de investigação “Como potenciar o espaço em contexto Creche e Jardim de Infância?”, foi fundamental apoiar-me em procedimentos de recolha e tratamento de informação característicos da metodologia apresentada, concretamente, a observação e notas de campo, registo fotográfico, pesquisa documental, conversas informais, inquérito por questionário e, posteriormente, proceder à análise de conteúdo. Estes procedimentos, permitiram-me, nos momentos de estágio, identificar os interesses e necessidades, não só do grupo, como também de cada criança, compreender diversos modos de organizar a sala tendo em consideração diferentes princípios pedagógicos e perceber a importância do espaço nos contextos supramencionados.
O estudo desta temática, organização dos espaços e dos materiais, permitiu-me compreender que um espaço bem estruturado e pensado de modo a responder às necessidades e interesses de cada criança e do grupo, desempenha um papel crucial no desenvolvimento e aprendizagem das mesmas. Para além do mencionado, tornou-se visível que se os ambientes forem projetados pelas educadoras de infância de modo a permitirem a exploração, a descoberta e interação entre pares e entre crianças e adultos contribuem para o desenvolvimento holístico das crianças.
The present report of Projeto de Investigação focuses on the theme “The Organization of Spaces and Materials in the context of Nurseries and Kindergartens”. For the development of this study, I tried to understand the way spaces and materials were conceived and the way they found themselves organized. Beyond that, I paid attention to how the children appropriated them. Therefore, this study was developed within the scope of qualitative investigation methodology and investigation-action methodology. In the sense of giving an answer to the investigation question “How to potentiate the space in Nursery and Kindergarten context?”, it was fundamental to find support in recovery procedures and information treatment, characteristic of the presented methodology, concretely, the observation and field notes, photographic record, documental research, inquiry on form of questionaries and, later, the analysis of the content. These procedures, allowed me, in the internship moments, to identify the interests and needs, not only of the group, but also of each child, to comprehend the various ways of organizing the classroom having in consideration different pedagogical principals and understand the importance of space in the above- mentioned contexts. The study of this theme, space, and materials organization, allowed me to understand that a well-structured space, designed to respond to the needs of each child and the group, plays a crucial role in their development and learning skills. In addition, it became visible that if the environments were projected by cooperant teachers in a way to allow exploration, discovery and interaction between pairs, children, and adults, they contribute to the holistic development of children.
