Abstract(s)
positivo.
The theme of this research project report is the importance of motor development in Early Childhood Education and its main objective is to understand how we can promote motor development through play and games in a nursery and kindergarten setting. As far as the methodology used is concerned, this is part of a qualitative investigation that is part of an action-research methodology. Observation, field notes, multimedia recordings, documentary analysis and interviews with the cooperating educators were therefore essential. Processing and analyzing the information gathered allowed us to understand the teachers' conceptions and adapt the intervention proposals to the interests and needs of the groups of children. Of the interventions implemented, two were selected in the Nursery context and two in the Kindergarten context, based on their relevance to this research project. These allowed me to provide moments of play and games with the aim of promoting children's motor development. It's worth noting that this study allows me to understand the importance of motor development in children, combining it with play and games. Furthermore, since the activities were carried out during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) period, the impact of motor development on promoting the children's quality of life was positive.
