dc.description.abstractComposite flower patterns is the most representative pattern in Chinese tradition. It is not a flower in reality, but a pattern imagined by Buddhist art. It is composed and created by various traditional flower patterns, and becomes a unique and decorative pattern. It is produced from buddhist culture and widely used in the industry with full and gorgeous images and beautiful implications. Art field, suhc as fabric, utensils, architecture and other aspects of daily life. In different periodes, the forms of composite flower patterns have also changed. From appearence of flower patterns in Wei, Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties, through Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties to today,a variety of combinations have emerged and reached the peak of its development since the Tang Dynasty. Based on the study of composite flower patterns in Dunhuang grotto buildings, painted sculptures, mural and costumes, this paper explores its formation, development, evolution process of successive dynasties and its shape-making sctructure, spectulates on the reasons, different and similarities of its evolution, summarizes its shape implication and aesthetic connotation, and take the shape of composite flower in Sui and Tang Dynasty as a model for research and discussion, showing its unique rich and luxurious, graceful and full artistic style. In addition, through the way of design practice, five classical patterns are selected and applied to wallpaper design, so that traditional Chinese patterns and modern design can be integrated and innovated. In the process of combination and application, the original shape, structure and color of the composite flower patterns are analyzed, the elements are re-extracted and reformed, and new patterns are designed, and experiments are carried out in actual wallpaper to obtain the most visual pattern size, and further develop the artistic value of the composite flower patterns.pt_PT
