Abstract(s)
Constituem a Agenda 2030 e a Escola é o alicerce
do Ensino Básico.
É igualmente importante englobar a
escolaridade do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
The Sustainable Development Goals are the common vision for Humanity, a contract between world leaders and people and “a list of things to do on behalf of people and the planet”. They constitute the 2030 Agenda and the School is the foundation for sustainable Education, starting with the youngest, the students in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. This work was carried out after research and reflection on the presence of the SDGs in school textbooks, resulting in their weak presence. With this aim, six activity proposals were made in accordance with the SDGs and the school manual used by the class. The main objective of the study is to "take" the Unitwin Network The City that Educates and Transforms to schools, through the proposed activities, in line with the work being developed by the scientific coordinator of the Chair, professor Doctor Isabel Baltazar, in municipal schools from Portugal. It is equally important to encompass the school that educates, in a more sustainable city, through the students who represent the future generation. This work was carried out during the current academic year, in a 3rd year class of 1st Cycle of Basic Education. As such, the action research methodology was adopted to carry out the activities, involving the students and the teacher/researcher. The data collection instruments were observation, informal conversations, document collection and work carried out by students. The results of implementing the activities demonstrated involvement and understanding on the part of the students regarding the theme of sustainability and the objectives proposed by UNESCO. It was possible to involve other disciplines in conjunction with the study of the environment, providing greater knowledge for students and their involvement with the various themes.
