Abstract(s)
Abstract The troubled neighbourhoods are a social concern as a way to host and give better living conditions to those who have greater difficulty in obtaining them. Motivated to find better living, employment conditions, stability and a better luck, people have moved massively to the peripheries of large cities hoping to obtain all these perks. However, not everything can be achieved the way people have foreseen and all these expectations are latent in the hope of being succeeded one day, which sometimes can lead to not adequate attitudes. The paperwork now presented pretends to study the policing and the prevention of criminality making in troubled neighbourhoods. This study is based on a theoretical part and a practical part. The first part is dedicated to the neighbourhood definition, its policing and also to criminality prevention in its different ways. This first part was carried out using the bibliographical study on several documents devoted to this matter. For the practical part of the paperwork, it was done by means of interviews, which were later analyzed, allowing the withdrawal of conclusions in order to prove the formulated hypotheses. Through these hypotheses, have been examined the issues with the purpose of answering to the central question of the study , and achieving the proposed objectives. It has been concluded that the troubled neighbourhoods are being treated with concern by the GNR, and the entire mission is being properly fulfilled. It is proposed that a greater partnership with external entities should exist to enable a better monitoring and problem resolution with greater accuracy of problematic situations.
