Abstract(s)
Enfermagem centrados no cliente sempre foram pilares fundamentais no meu percurso
As part of this academic journey, this report complies with the provisions of the study plan for the 2nd Edition of the Master's Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing for People in Perioperative Situations, which aims to award the professional title of Specialist Nurse and the Degree of Master in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing for People in Perioperative Situations, through the presentation and discussion of this document in a public examination. Qualified by a critical-reflective and descriptive analysis of the activities carried out, which will be guided by Decree-Law nº. 65/2018 of August 16, Regulation n.º 429/2018 of July 16 and Regulation n.º 140/2019 of February 6, which sets out the competences relating to the aforementioned professional and academic degrees, the aim is to objectively demonstrate the entire process of integrating and improving the common competences of specialist nurses, as well as the specific competences developed throughout professional practice in the context of conventional surgery or emergency surgery, plus the clinical practices carried out as part of this master's degree course, namely in the Professional Internships (ENP) in specialty and outpatient blocks, which were embodied in the same health institution in the north of the country. From this reflection it emerges, aware that surgical safety and the quality of nursing care have always been fundamental pillars in my professional career, that this course has provided the acquisition of knowledge and the improvement of common and specific skills in the areas of intervention in question, which will allow me to perform better in the increasingly complex perioperative area. It has also led me to carry out a project aimed at improving nursing practice, with a focus on the pre-surgical trichotomy procedure, an essential item for preventing surgical site infections, since it is part of a set of interventions designed to promote health and prevent risks associated with healthcare. With this program, the procedure drawn up will make it possible to standardize care in the institution, while safeguarding the client's individuality in the specification of each clinical case.
