Abstract(s)
adversas, recriando-as e resolvendo-as/ultrapassando-as.
personalidade.
fundamentem teoricamente as informações descritas.
Play is a form of learning, as well as promoting the relationship between children, it is essential for their social, emotional and cognitive development. Playing is a moment where children can engage in symbolic play, representing moments, experiences and situations in real life whether homelike or educational. Through these moments children express, interact, learn to deal with adverse situations, recreating them and solving them/ surpassing them. It is along these lines that play reveals a privileged moment for shaping their personality. In this study I will describe the importance and potential that recreational activities have on teaching and learning in early childhood education, and this will be supported by the perspective of several authors who theoretically supports the information described. The methodology used for this study was based on the previous bibliographic research on this subject. Consequently, by experimenting, children can get to know themselves and discover their limits, get to know others / the world and develop their own cognitive structure.
