Abstract(s)
Numa sociedade em constante mudança marcada por ameaças transnacionais, de carácter imprevisível, multifacetado e altamente equipadas, surge a necessidade de desenvolver e aperfeiçoar mecanismos eficientes, de aconselhamento
oportuno e acertado aos decisores políticos e militares.
Assim sendo, numa era digital, e tecnologicamente avançada, como a atual,
organizações, como as Forças Armadas, por forma a cumprirem a sua missão de
garantia da segurança e soberania de Portugal e dos portugueses, necessitam de
ferramentas e equipamentos adequados por forma a obter elementos que possam
influenciar a sua tomada de decisão e com isso obter os melhores resultados.
Neste sentido, a presente investigação pretende apresentar de forma estruturada, e com recurso a bibliografia e entrevistas a um conjunto de entidades consideradas relevantes na área, um estudo sobre as capacidades dos veículos aéreos
não-tripulados, no seio das Informações militares, identificando algumas das vantagens da sua utilização para a realização deste tipo de operações.
A mesma dissertação termina com a apresentação, e discussão, dos resultados obtidos, inferindo um conjunto de recomendações, bem como um número de
propostas para futuras investigações relacionadas com o tema.
In a constantly changing society marked by transnational threats, of an unpredictable, multifaceted and highly equipped nature, there is a need to develop and improve efficient mechanisms, providing timely and accurate advice to political and military decision makers. Therefore, in a digital and technologically advanced age, such as the current one, organizations such as the Armed Forces, in order to fulfill their mission of guaranteeing the security and sovereignty of Portugal and the Portuguese, need adequate tools and equipment to obtain elements that can influence their decision making and thereby obtain the best results. In this sense, the present investigation intends to present in a structured way, and using the bibliography and interviews with a group of entities considered relevant in the area, a study on the capabilities of the Unmaned Aircraft Veichles (UAV), within the Military Intelligence, identifying some of the advantages of using it to carry out this type of operation. The same dissertation ends with the presentation, and discussion, of the results obtained, inferring a set of recommendations, as well as a number of proposals for future investigations related as theme.
