| dc.description.abstract | Nesta dissertação pretendemos refletir sobre um tema que continua a afetar muitos portugueses: a pobreza, uma verdadeira chaga que persiste na sociedade e leva a exclusão social. Será que os jornais portugueses destacam os temas relacionados com a pobreza? Eis a pergunta que orientou a nossa investigação. Para delimitar a pesquisa, escolhemos examinar a forma como dois jornais (o Público e o Alto Alentejo) abordam a temática nomeadamente no Dia Internacional para a Erradicação da pobreza. | dc.description.abstract | In this dissertation we intend to reflect on a subject that still has a huge impact on the portuguese population: poverty, a real plague that persists in society and leads to social exclusion. Do the portuguese newspapers highlight issues related to poverty? This is the question that guided our investigation. To delimit the topic, we chose to examine the way in which two newspapers (Public and Alto Alentejo) address this issue, namely on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
