Abstract(s)
The hybrid work model is a contemporary model adopted by many organisations in the current context; it is characterised by a combination of face-to-face and remote work. The main aim of this study was to analyse the perception of hybrid workers with regard to reconciling their personal and professional lives, with the starting question being, ‘How do hybrid workers perceive reconciling their personal and professional lives?’. The methodology used was qualitative, based on semi-structured interviews with professionals who live and experience this reality. The results showed that the hybrid work model has a very positive impact on individuals' lives and allows for better management of the personal and professional spheres, thus contributing to workers' well-being, motivation and productivity in relation to the organisation and development of work. Workers see this model as an efficient alternative that helps them balance their daily activities, reducing stress and some expenses related to transport and food, although some interviewees pointed out challenges related to isolation and the difficulty some organisations have in adhering to this working model. Even so, the research favours employee satisfaction, and the hybrid work model presents itself as a valuable strategic alternative for flexibility.
