O bem mais valioso dentro de qualquer organização são as pessoas e neste sentido a satisfação profissional assume-se como sendo uma questão incontornável e imprescindível para garantir o sucesso da organização. A Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) não se apresenta como uma exceção, e a satisfação profissional dos seus elementos, quer sejam Agentes, Chefes ou Oficiais, torna-se fundamental para garantir a realização da sua missão com o sucesso desejado.
O presente estudo, baseado em entrevistas e na aplicação de questionários por correspondência, teve como objetivos avaliar o nível de comprometimento organizacional, o nível de motivação profissional e o nível de satisfação profissional dos Subcomissários, com o intuito de detetar quais as principais adversidades que se colocam aos Subcomissários e que acabam por afetar o seu desempenho funcional e por consequência o sucesso da missão da PSP.
Com esse intuito foram realizadas entrevistas a um conjunto de Oficiais de Polícia, informadores qualificados, com vasta experiencia na área e no objeto de estudo. No que refere ao inquérito participou uma amostra significativa de Oficiais de Polícia formados no Instituto Superior de Ciências Policiais e Segurança Interna (ISCPSI) que pela primeira vez ofereceram um retrato geracional e longitudinal (ao longo de 23 anos de formação) acerca da satisfação profissional após a conclusão da sua formação superior na instituição presente. No plano dos resultados esperados procurar-se-á identificar os aspectos centrais no plano da satisfação e da motivação profissionais, ao longo de um tempo longo de 23 anos de formação ministrada pelo ISCPSI.
The most valuable asset within any organization is its people and in this way professional satisfaction is assumed as an essential and indispensable matter to the organization's success. The Public Security Police (PSP) is not presented as an exception, and job satisfaction of its elements, whether they are agents, officials or chiefs, is essential to ensure the accomplishment of its mission with the desired success. This study, based on interviews and questionnaires by mail, aimed to assess the level of organizational commitment as well as the level of professional motivation and professional satisfaction of for the purpose of detecting which are the main adversities that stand against the Deputy Commissioners and will ultimately end up affecting their functional performance and therefore the success of the mission of the PSP. With this purpose, interviews were conducted to a set of qualified Police Officers, informers with extensive experience in this area and on the object of study. About the inquiry, a significant sample of Police Officers formed the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Internal Security (ISCPSI) have participated and for the first time they provided a generational and longitudinal portrait (over 23 years of training) on job satisfaction after the conclusion of their higher education in this institution. In terms of expected outcomes, we will seek to identify the key aspects in terms of professional satisfaction and motivation over 23 long years of training time provided by ISCPSI.
