Abstract(s)
territorio.
Abstract: Cangas is a village in the northern part of the Metropolitan Area of Vigo, in the province of Pontevedra, belonging to the autonomous community of Galicia, in the northwest of Spain. The dissertation presented attempt to link the urban fabric of the town of Cangas with the phenomena that gave origin, this being a unique possibility to do a morphological study because of their lack. The aim is to analyze the transformation of urban form from the origins as a village until the early twentieth century, then delving into the 1950s, until 2015, dividing the analysis into five major periods, constituting a very prominent development phase for the remarkable changes over the years. These changes will be interpreted through a series of photographic reports, including panoramic images or photogrammetric flights where the transformation and development of the town is constatable, also using available mapping and planning in force in each section that determines urban development, and the economic, social and political context lived during this time. It can be interpreted in this way the transformation of the city, exposing the diagnoses and criteria governing interventions in the territory, achieving understand the processes, identifying key issues and introducing specific guidelines for urban planning and territorial intervention. Each phase reflects a morphological study, exposing the various elements that contributed to the development of urban space. For the graphic representation will be used elements such as drawings and designs interpretive of the evolution that originated at different stages and through a visual way can be contemplated in a synthesized way the changes occurring in the village. As a result of this investigation it aims to establish a relationship between the urban form of Cangas with the context that generated its development until today, providing a deeper understanding of urban nature, past and present, through the case study of the village of Cangas, acting as a tool for the future of the urban interventions in this area.
