Abstract(s)
A incorporação das mulheres na Força Aérea Portuguesa (FAP), com carácter de regularidade, tem o seu inicio no final de 1991 e vem gerar um conjunto de novos desafios que, neste trabalho de investigação, estão relacionados com a protecção da maternidade e da paternidade.
Desta forma, foram identificadas as preocupações ligadas à mobilidade geográfica, à separação temporária da família e à preocupação em relação à educação dos filhos analisando de que forma estas situações geram insatisfação por parte da família, o que impõe atritos na relação Família/Organização Militar. Feito esse enquadramento, são enunciados os problemas relacionados com a caracterização da protecção da maternidade e da paternidade e a compatibilização entre a vida profissional e a vida familiar.
Dentro dessa linha de acção, pretendeu-se analisar as políticas de apoio à maternidade/paternidade, o regulamento das colocações, os serviços de escala e a frequência de cursos, de acordo com os requisitos acima definidos.
Para atingir essa intenção recorreu-se ao método de investigação em Ciências Sociais proposto pelo Instituto de Estudos Superiores Militares (IESM). Este método inicia-se com uma pergunta de partida, estando associadas outras, que dela derivam, procurando-se dar as respostas através da formulação de hipóteses.
Na pesquisa do objecto foram utilizados, fundamentalmente, a consulta à legislação em vigor; a estudos já desenvolvidos, relacionados com o assunto e a entrevistas.
Este trabalho de investigação permitiu identificar a existência de situações que devem ser acauteladas, nomeadamente: colocar, de preferência, ambos os membros do casal na mesma Unidade ou área de residência; não colocar de serviço, no mesmo dia ambos os membros do casal e não nomear em simultâneo ambos os pais para a frequência de cursos de promoção/formação, salvaguardando assim as medidas de protecção à maternidade/paternidade.
Como ilação mais importante a retirar deste trabalho salienta-se a criação de normas reguladoras que estabeleçam medidas de protecção à maternidade/paternidade, no âmbito da FAP. Abstract: The incorporation of women in the Portuguese Air Force (FAP) on a regular basis had its beginning at the end 1991. This has created a new set of challenges related to the protection of maternity and paternity that will be studied in this research work.
Thus, the concerns identified were related to the geographical mobility, the temporary separation of the family and the concern about the education of children. It was studied how these situations generate dissatisfaction in the family and how this causes friction in the relationship Family/Military Organization. Bearing in mind this framework, the problems with the characterization of the protection of motherhood and fatherhood and the reconciliation between professional and family life were then set out.
Following this line of action, the polices of support for maternity/paternity, the regulation of placement services, scale and frequency of courses in were examined in accordance with the requirements considered above.
To achieve this goal the research method for social sciences proposed by the Institute of Higher Military Education (IESM) was used. This method begins with an initial question and others which derive from the first. Here, hypotheses were created in order to try to answer the questions.
To correctly analyze this situation, the line of action included the consultation of existing legislation; the studies already developed in connection with the subject ads some interviews.
This research work has identified the existence of situations that must be met, including: preferably to assign, both members of the couple to the same unit or area of residence, not to appoint the two members of the couple to be on duty on the same day to appoint both parents to attend promotion and training, being this the most important protective measure for maternity/paternity.
As its important finding, this work emphasizes the need for the creation of rules that will establish measures to protect the maternity/paternity within the FAP.
