A presente dissertação tem por objetivo analisar o impacto do investimento direto estrangeiro (IDE) de empresas brasileiras em Portugal. Para tal foi selecionada uma empresa Brasileira ā Fabio&Mirian Ferreira, Lda por ser considerada representativa neste setor no Ć¢mbito da metodologia de estudo de caso.
Neste âmbito a revisão da literatura procura sistematizar algumas das principais teorias, com enfâse em temas como o investimento direto estrangeiro, nomeadamente, a sua importância, as vantagens e desvantagens, estratégias e modos de entrada. Em termos de metodologia recorreu-se ao instrumento de recolha de dados através de entrevista. Esta recolha de dados permitiu elaborar o caso e propor algumas linhas gerais, nomeadamente (i) importância de investir em Portugal, (ii) as motivações que levam a investir em Portugal e (iii) as limitações deparadas em investir em Portugal.
Os resultados desta investigação exploratória sugerem que em todos os paĆses o investimento direto estrangeiro (IDE) Ć© considerado um fator determinante e impulsionador para o crescimento económico de muitos paĆses, principalmente aqueles com localização estratĆ©gica, como Ć© o caso de Portugal.
This dissertation aims to analyze the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) of Brazilian companies in Portugal. To that effect, a Brazilian company - Fabio & Mirian Ferreira, Lda for being considered representative of this sector within the scope of the case studyās methodology. In this context, the literature review seeks to systematize some of the main theories, focusing on themes such as foreign direct investment, namely, its importance, its advantages and disadvantages, strategies and modes of entry. In terms of methodology, the data collection instrument used was an interview, which allowed us to elaborate the case study and propose some general lines namely (i) the importance of investing in Portugal, (ii) the motivations that lead to investing in Portugal and (iii) the limitations encountered while investing in Portugal. The results of this exploratory investigation suggest that foreign direct investment (FDI) is considered in all countries as a determining and driving factor for economic growth, especially those with a strategic location, such as Portugal.
