Abstract(s)
The integration of new employees constitutes a critical stage in building the bond between professionals and organisations, influencing motivation, productivity, and long-term retention within institutional structures. In general, onboarding processes still exhibit limitations related to disorganised information, lack of structured support, and reduced accessibility of content. In this context, a digital onboarding solution was developed with the aim of improving the initial integration experience, grounded in the principles of User Experience (UX), multimedia communication, gamification, and digital accessibility. Two complementary interfaces were designed to meet the specific needs of distinct user profiles: (A) new employees and (B) institutional professionals. The methodological framework of the research is based on the approaches of practical-deliberative Action Research and the Design Thinking model. A mixed strategy was adopted, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, with a particular focus on user-centred research. This included the conduction of exploratory interviews and the construction of personas, complemented by the iterative development of low- and high-fidelity prototypes, submitted to usability testing. The results obtained reveal significant improvements in information clarity, navigation flow, and the overall effectiveness of the organisational integration process. The introduction of interactive components and gamified elements contributed to increased user engagement and fostered more accessible, motivating experiences aligned with the challenges of contemporary digital onboarding. This study offers valuable insights for the design of digital onboarding solutions, grounded in user-centred design principles, accessible multimedia communication, and iterative development processes.
