Abstract(s)
Um acesso vascular é um dispositivo necessário na prestação de cuidados à pessoa
em situação crítica em contexto hospitalar. Os catéteres venosos de inserção
periférica não estão excluídos deste cenário, e cada vez mais a evidência científica
demonstra que o cuidado de Enfermagem proporciona a sua otimização.
Este trabalho é o culminar de um percurso académico, que inclui uma etapa teórica
e uma etapa de estágio, e visa conferir a obtenção do grau de mestre, que teve
como objetivo geral desenvolver competências comuns e específicas do enfermeiro
especialista em Enfermagem em pessoa em situação crítica no que diz respeito à
manutenção de acessos vasculares venosos de inserção periférica, promovendo a
segurança do doente, a efetividade dos cuidados de Enfermagem e a qualidade em
saúde.
A aprendizagem foi estruturada com base nos pensamentos crítico e reflexivo, e
tendo como linha de orientação teórica o Modelo Qualidade Cuidado de Duffy (2003)
nos elementos que o constituem: estrutura, processo e resultados, assim como,
numa fundamentação teórica atual, pertinente e alinhada com os prossupostos da
qualidade dos cuidados de Enfermagem.
Que o estudo sobre acessos vasculares não se encerre neste trabalho, mas que
seja o ponto de partida para um maior investimento nesta área. Um enfermeiro
especialista não o é por dominar uma técnica ou uma intervenção específica, é
denominado de especialista quando o seu domínio se estende em amplitude no
desenvolvimento de competências complexas e avançadas, que por outras palavras,
pode ser denominado por enfermeiro perito com grau de mestre.
A vascular access is a necessary device when a person in a critical situation in a hospital context is being cared. Peripherally inserted venous catheters are not excluded from this scenario, and scientific evidence increasingly demonstrates that Nursing care provides its optimization. This work is the culmination of an academic journey, which includes a theoretical stage and an internship stage, and the aim is to obtain a master's degree, which general objective was to develop common and specific skills of the nurse specialist in nursing in a critically ill patient regarding the maintenance of peripherally inserted venous vascular accesses, promoting patient safety, the effectiveness of nursing care and quality in health. Learning was structured based on critical and reflective thinking and having as a theoretical guideline Duffy's Quality Caring Model (2003), the elements that constitute it: structure, process, and results, as well as a current theoretical foundation, relevant and aligned with the assumptions of the quality of Nursing care. Hopefully the study on vascular accesses does not end with this work, it could be the starting point for a greater investment in this area. A nurse specialist is not a specialist for mastering a technique or a specific intervention, he is called a specialist when his domain extends to the development of complex and advanced skills, which in other words can be called an expert nurse with a master's degree.
