Resumo(s)

The use of information and communication systems in higher education, such as podcasts, as pedagogical tools, constitutes a strategy to support and motivate students to improve their learning. Thus, following the creation and development of podcasts by teachers aimed at students with a view to improving their skills and self-learning, this study aims to analyze the usability and suitability of podcasts as an educational support tool for students of the bachelor's degree in nursing and to understand how the podcasts developed can contribute to the learning process of these students. An exploratory, observational and descriptive study design was chosen, of a quantitative nature with a convenience sample, consisting of 117 nursing students from a School of Health, using a self-completed questionnaire, including sociodemographic variables as well as the System Usability Scale. SPSS® version 28 was used for data analysis. In general, nursing students rated the developed Podcast as excellent as a pedagogical tool in nursing education. They considered it very useful, easy to use and suitable for nursing education, using it frequently depending on the requirements and type of content.
