| dc.description.abstract | A história portuguesa funde-se secularmente com a descoberta do Mundo e com a defesa da Pátria, aquém e além-mar. Hoje, como ontem, a presença da Marinha assegura os interesses de Portugal, no mar e a partir deste, no âmbito da sua responsabilidade enquanto ramo das Forças Armadas de assegurar a defesa nacional de uma nação soberana e no âmbito da defesa coletiva enquanto membro da Aliança Atlântica. No mundo atual as solicitações de cariz militar são incertas e obrigam a um permanente estado de prontidão das forças navais, perante ameaças crescentes de inimigos cada vez mais assimétricos e imprevisíveis, numa era de rápido avanço tecnológico, que exige constante adaptação e mais e melhores capacidades para operar em diferentes ambientes. Aos Fuzileiros, cabe dar a resposta no ambiente ribeirinho. O propósito desta investigação é estudar e analisar a capacidade do Corpo de Fuzileiros para realizar operações ribeirinhas. Recorre-se à análise histórica de conflitos passados, à análise da doutrina ribeirinha, identificam-se procedimentos, modelos de organização e avalia-se a capacidade ribeirinha atual dos Fuzileiros. Com esta investigação procura-se determinar a adequabilidade dos meios existentes e tirar conclusões sobre eventuais necessidades de investimento. Conclui-se que o conceito operações ribeirinhas é parcialmente aplicável aos Fuzileiros e os resultados obtidos sugerem a necessidade de aumentar, desenvolver e consolidar a capacidade ribeirinha do Corpo de Fuzileiros. Esta capacidade deve ser encarada como mais uma ferramenta ao dispor dos comandantes para atingirem os seus objetivos militares, num ambiente complexo por natureza. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Portuguese history has been fused for centuries with the discovery of the world and the defense of the homeland, at home and abroad. Today, as yesterday, the presence of the Navy ensures Portugal's interests, at sea and from there, within the scope of its responsibility as a branch of the Armed Forces to ensure the national defense of a sovereign nation and within the scope of collective defense as a member of the Atlantic Alliance. In today's world, military requests are uncertain and require a permanent state of readiness for naval forces, in the face of growing threats from increasingly asymmetrical and unpredictable enemies, in an era of rapid technological advancement, which requires constant adaptation and more and better capabilities. to operate in different environments. It is up to the Marines to respond in the riverside environment. The purpose of this investigation is to study and analyze the riverine capabilities of the Fuzileiros. Historical analysis of past conflicts is used, analysis of riverside doctrine, procedures and organizational models are identified and the current riverine capacity of the Fuzileiros is assessed. This investigation seeks to determine the suitability of existing resources and draw conclusions about possible investment needs. It is concluded that the riverine operations concept is partially applicable to the Fuzileiros Corps and the results obtained suggest the need to increase, develop and consolidate their riverine capacity. This capability should be seen as another tool available to commanders to achieve their military objectives, in a complex environment by nature. | pt_PT |
