O presente documento foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem
Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica da Escola Superior de
Enfermagem do Porto, com o intuito de adquirir o título de enfermeiro mestre e especialista em
Enfermagem Médico Cirúrgica, na área da Pessoa em Situação Crítica. Este curso realça o
aprimoramento e desenvolvimento de competências avançadas de cariz clínico, estando este
alinhado com as diretrizes estabelecidas pela Ordem dos Enfermeiros. Desta forma, este
relatório pretende descrever o processo de desenvolvimento de competências (comuns e
específicas) do enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico Cirúrgica, na área da Pessoa em
Situação Crítica, através de uma análise crítica-reflexiva das atividades realizadas na unidade
curricular "Estágio de natureza profissional", Módulo I e Módulo II.
Por conseguinte, o desenvolvimento destas competências ocorreu em 3 contextos de
assistência à Pessoa em Situação Crítica, com enfoque na pessoa com dor isquémica: Serviço de
Urgência, na Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos de Cardiologia e no Serviço de Medicina Intensiva.
Assim, durante o Módulo I foi desenvolvido um projeto de desenvolvimento de competências
clínicas especializadas com a temática “Avaliação e gestão da dor isquémica na pessoa em
situação crítica” com o propósito de planear e prever atividades que seriam desenvolvidas no
Módulo II. O propósito deste projeto consistiu em desenvolver competências diferenciadas numa
área temática de interesse pessoal; contudo, durante o decorrer do estágio, também
pretendemos desenvolver todas as competências do Enfermeiro Especialista na área de
Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica.
Este documento encontra-se estruturado em 3 partes principais: a caraterização dos contextos
de estágio, onde decorreu o estágio de natureza profissional; a conceção de cuidados, onde se
denota o desenvolvimento da tomada de decisão em enfermagem; e os contributos que
permitiram o desenvolvimento das competências do Enfermeiro Especialista na área de
Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica. Por fim, este relatório foi elaborado com recurso à
plataforma “e4nursing” instituída na Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto.
This document was developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing to the Critically Ill Patient at the Nursing School of Porto, with the aim of acquiring the title of master and specialist nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing , in the area of Nursing to the Critically Ill Patient. This course highlights the improvement and development of advanced clinical skills, which is aligned with the guidelines established by the Ordem dos Enfermeiros. Therefore, this report intends to describe the process of developing skills (common and specific) of the nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing to the Critically Ill Patient, through a critical-reflective analysis of the activities carried out in the curricular unit “Internship professional”, Module I and Module II. Consequently, the development of these skills occurred in 3 contexts of assistance to the Critically Ill Patient, particularly on people with ischemic pain: Emergency Service, Cardiology Intensive Care Unit and Intensive Medicine Service. Hence, during Module I, a project was developed to enhanced specialized clinical skills with the theme “Assessment and management of ischemic pain in critically ill patient” with the purpose of planning and predicting activities that would be developed in Module II. The purpose of this project was to develop specialized skills in a thematic area of personal interest; however, during the internship, we also intend to develop all the skills of the Specialist Nurse in the area of Nursing to the Critically Ill Patient. This document is structured in 3 main chapters: the characterization of the internship contexts, where the professional internship took place; conception nursing care, which demonstrate the development of decision-making in nursing; and the contributions that allowed the development of the Specialist Nurse's skills in the area of Nursing to the Critically Ill Patient. Finally, this report was developed by using the “e4nursing” platform established at the Nursing School of Porto.
