A atividade turística e sua relação com a fotografia tornaram-se
tão costumeiras que pesquisas referentes ao assunto procuram
limitar-se em seus impactos no que diz respeito ao contexto atual
e suas consequências durante a experiência do viajante nos dias
de hoje. O presente trabalho busca contribuir para a investigação
da relação existente entre fotografia e viagem, ao analisar como
o imaginário visual de um lugar impacta na expectativa que é
vivida em viagem, levando também em consideração os
diferentes olhares do viajante/turista. As imagens com as quais
entramos em contato diariamente contribuem para a construção
de um imaginário não apenas visual, mas também emocional
sobre locais onde nunca estivemos. Portanto, a investigação visa
abordar o assunto em um contexto histórico sobre a fotografia e
as viagens que desencadearam o modo como as utilizamos e
realizamos atualmente, para então compreender como ocorre
este processo, bem como a forma como este imaginário acaba
por influenciar na experiência de viagem de cada um, ao criar
expectativas de forma inconsciente. A investigação é conduzida
a partir deste contexto histórico que busca perceber a origem
desta relação intrínseca entre a fotografia e a viagem, para então
analisar seus impactos sobre o imaginário do viajante.
Tourist activity and its relationship with photography have become so common that research on the subject limits itself in its impacts regarding the current context and its consequences during the traveler's experience nowadays. This work seeks to contribute to the investigation of the relationship between photography and travel, by analyzing how the visual imagery of a place impacts the expectation that is experienced on a trip, also taking into account the different perspectives of the traveler/tourist. The images with which we come into contact daily contribute to the construction of an imaginary not only visual, but also emotional about places we have never been, therefore, the investigation seeks to approach the subject in a historical context about photography and traveling that triggered the way we currently use and perform them, in order to understand how this process occurs, as well as the way this imaginary ends up influencing each one's travel experience, by unconsciously creating expectations. The investigation is conducted from this historical context that seeks to understand the origin of this intrinsic relationship between photography and travel, in order to analyze its impacts on the traveler's imaginary.
