Abstract(s)
Este trabalho de projecto será desenvolvido na Freguesia de São Martinho, na cidade
do Funchal. Após um Estágio Profissional realizado como Técnico Superior de Serviço Social
na JFSM e dos dados de diagnóstico aí recolhidos, tornou-se pertinente pensar nas condições
do processo de envelhecimento, pois ao longo do estágio foi observado que existem muitas
pessoas idosas que residem sozinhos, em condições sociais de existência precárias e sem rede
de suporte familiar e social e nem condições de participação social ativa. O projeto tem como
finalidade defender uma forma de viver o processo de envelhecimento no seu próprio contexto,
oferecendo às pessoas idosas a possibilidade de continuarem a viver na sua própria habitação e
na sua comunidade local, com uma rede de diversos serviços de apoio, que não excluem as
opções de residências séniores, centros de dia, redes de cuidados continuados e centros de noite,
que podem complementar o processo de envelhecimento no próprio lugar, mas que pretende
apostar em respostas e projetos de intervenção inovadores. Desta forma, defendemos a
importância da realização dos diagnósticos sociais para conhecer e perceber as necessidades
individuais, e assim realizar uma intervenção centrada nas necessidades das pessoas idosas, de
uma forma mais personalizada e com um acompanhamento de proximidade, identificando os
projetos de intervenção pertinentes na Freguesia de São Martinho, de modo a aumentar o seu
bem-estar e criar uma maior qualidade de vida da sua população idosa, permitindo que
permaneça nas suas casas e enraizada nas suas comunidades locais e, portanto, imersos nas
redes de relacionamento e de suporte social familiar e local. Após a recolha dos dados que nos
permitiu realizar um diagnóstico social , apresentamos a planificação de um projeto constituído
pelos seguintes programas de ação: requalificação do espaço habitacional e da comunidade
local; rede de relações sociais e suporte social; património cultural e utilidade social, centro de
atividades sénior e de prestação de serviços; e apoio aos cuidadores e voluntários.
This project work will be developed in the Parish of São Martinho, in the city of Funchal. After a Professional Internship carried out as a social worker Technician in Junta de Freguesia de São Martinho and the diagnostic data collected there, it became relevant to think about the conditions of the aging process, because throughout the internship it was observed that there are many elderly people who live alone, in precarious social conditions of existence and no family and social support network and no conditions for active social participation. The project aims to defend a way of experiencing the aging process on its own, offering residents the possibility to continue living in their own home and in the local community, with a network of various support services, not excluding housing options as seniors, long-term care networks and night centers, which can complement the implemented design process, but which aim at innovative responses and interventions. In this way, we defend the importance of carrying out diagnoses to know and understand social needs, and thus carry out an intervention focused on the needs of the elderly, more personalized and with proximity monitoring, identifying intervention interventions in the Parish, in order to increase the quality of Martinho's life in their homes and rooted in their homes and rooted in their networks and therefore immersed in local quality, will increase in their homes and therefore immersed in quality. family and local society.
