Abstract(s)
O presente estudo insere-se no âmbito do Mestrado de Qualificação para a
Docência em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1ºCiclo do Ensino Básico debruçando-se
sobre o Ensino Doméstico.
Legislado em Portugal desde meados do século XIX, o Ensino Doméstico foi a
primeira forma de ensino no nosso país e hoje em dia há cada vez mais pais a assumir
novamente a total responsabilidade sobre a educação dos seus educandos/e ou filhos.
Este é um dos regimes de ensino alternativo que os Encarregados de Educação
têm como opção ao tradicional, pelos mais diversos motivos, desde o bullying até
crenças religiosas. Esta possibilidade de acompanhamento da educação das crianças
deverá ser feita de forma plena e consciente.
Para orientar este estudo, foi fundamental definir alguns objetivos, entre eles:
➔ Conhecer o contexto do Ensino Doméstico em Portugal;
➔ Conhecer as representações das famílias sobre o Ensino Doméstico;
➔ Compreender o grau de conhecimento dos pais e encarregados de
educação sobre o regime de Ensino Doméstico.
Por forma a dar resposta a estes objetivos, foi desenvolvida uma metodologia
quantitativa, através de um questionário que nos ajudou a compreender a natureza dos
acontecimentos e a explicá-los.
Após a análise deste questionário, concluiu-se que alguns dos Encarregados de
Educação pouco conhecem sobre esta temática apesar de lhe reconhecerem alguns
benefícios para o desenvolvimento da criança, contudo os dados existentes das
inscrições no Ensino Tradicional prendem-se com a vinculação que os Encarregados de
Educação têm com este regime de ensino.
The present study is part of the scope of the master’s degree in Qualification for Teaching in Preschool and Primary School Teaching, focusing on Home Teaching. Legislated in Portugal since the mid-19th century, Home Schooling was the first form of education in our country, and today more and more parents are again taking full responsibility for the education of their children. This is one of the alternative education systems that parents have as an option to the traditional one, for the most diverse reasons, from bullying to religious beliefs. This possibility of monitoring the children's education should be done fully and consciously. To guide this study, it was essential to define some objectives, among them: ● Know the context of Home Education in Portugal; ● Know the representations of families about Home Schooling; ● Understand the degree of knowledge of parents and guardians about the Home Schooling regime. In order to respond to these objectives, a quantitative methodology was developed, through a questionnaire that helped us to understand the nature of the events and explain them. After analyzing this questionnaire, it was concluded that some of the Guardians know little about this topic, despite recognizing some benefits for the development of the child, however the existing data on enrollments in Traditional Education relate to the link that the Guardians of Education has with this teaching regime.
