O Impacto da manobra de Kristeller na saúde da mulher

| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório é uma componente do estágio de natureza profissional com relatório final, integrante do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica. No relatório encontram-se explanados os diagnósticos, intervenções e atividades desenvolvidas nos diversos contextos clínicos, nomeadamente, na gravidez com complicações, no trabalho de parto e parto, e no pós-parto, concretizados no Centro Materno e Infantil do Norte. Decorrente da assistência durante o trabalho de parto, observamos que muitas vezes os profissionais recorriam à realização de pressão no fundo uterino, também designada de manobra de Kristeller, sendo esta uma prática que não se encontra recomendada. Assim, decidimos explorar qual a repercussão da manobra de Kristeller na saúde da mulher. Para tal, optamos por realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Da análise dos artigos, foram elencadas cinco categorias, nomeadamente, as características da realização da manobra de Kristeller; os fatores de vulnerabilidade; a repercussão da manobra de Kristeller na saúde da mulher; a repercussão da manobra de Kristeller na experiência de parto e por fim, a perspetiva dos profissionais acerca da manobra de Kristeller. Podemos concluir que, a manobra de Kristeller se encontra associada a inúmeras consequências na mulher, particularmente, maior perda vaginal durante e após o parto, maior incidência de lacerações de primeiro e segundo grau, maior risco de lesão do músculo elevador do ânus, dor e ainda impacto negativo na experiência de parto. Além disso, podemos constatar que esta prática se encontra associada à concretização de outras intervenções obstétricas, como por exemplo, amniotomia, indução de trabalho de parto e episiotomia | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This report is a component of the internship of a professional nature with a final report, part of the Master's Course in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing. The report explains the diagnoses, interventions and activities carried out in the different clinical contexts, namely, in pregnancy with complications, in labor and delivery, and in the postpartum period, carried out at the Centro Materno e Infantil do Norte. As a result of assistance during labor, we observed that professionals often resorted to pressure on the uterine fundus, also known as the Kristeller maneuver, which is a practice that is not recommended. Thus, we decided to explore the impact of Kristeller's maneuver on women's health. To this end, we chose to carry out an integrative literature review. From the analysis of the articles, five categories were listed, namely, the characteristics of performing the Kristeller maneuver; vulnerability factors; the repercussion of Kristeller's maneuver on women's health; the repercussion of the Kristeller maneuver on the childbirth experience and, finally, the professionals' perspective on the Kristeller maneuver. We can conclude that the Kristeller maneuver is associated with numerous consequences for women, particularly, greater vaginal loss during and after delivery, greater incidence of first and second-degree lacerations, greater risk of injury to the levator ani muscle, pain, and even negative impact on the birth experience. In addition, we can see that this practice is associated with the implementation of other obstetric interventions, such as amniotomy, induction of labor and episiotomy. | pt_PT |
