O cuidar Ă© um conceito essencial ao ser humano, surgindo muitas vezes associado a situaçÔes de dependĂȘncia. Dados estatĂsticos revelam que o Ăndice de dependĂȘncia total irĂĄ sofrer aumentos drĂĄsticos nas prĂłximas dĂ©cadas. Desta forma, torna-se essencial repensar as estratĂ©gias implementadas bem como as polĂticas de saĂșde no que diz respeito a quem assume o papel de cuidar do outro, o qual se designa de Cuidador Informal. Este assume um papel preponderante na prestação de cuidados Ă pessoa dependente e para isso, deve estar apto, encontrando-se capacitado, confortĂĄvel e seguro no desempenho do seu papel.
Foi neste sentido, que a mestranda desenvolveu um projeto de intervenção comunitåria com o intuito de otimizar o processo de capacitação dos Cuidadores Informais dos utentes em ECCI da UCC de Vendas Novas
Caring is an essential concept for human beings, often arising in situations of dependency. Statistical data reveal that the total dependency index will increase dramatically in the coming decades. Thus, it is essential to rethink the strategies implemented as well as the health policies with regard to those who assume the role of caring for others, who are called Informal Caregivers. This person assumes a preponderant role in providing care to the dependent person and for that, he must be able, being able, comfortable and safe in the performance of his role. It was in this sense, that the master's student developed a community intervention project in order to optimize the process of training the Informal Caregivers of users in ECCI of the UCC of Vendas Novas
