Esta investigação buscou analisar a diversidade e inclusão no sector naval em diferentes perspetivas do seu valor estratégico para a gestão. O método de pesquisa combinou entrevistas exploratórias, análise documental e um inquérito aplicado a potenciais profissionais. Os resultados mostraram que a diversidade é reconhecida como vantagem competitiva, mas coexistem perceções de risco e baixa atratividade associadas ao setor. As principais conclusões evidenciaram a necessidade de políticas estruturadas que reforcem a integração multicultural, melhorem a imagem do setor e promovam a diversidade como motor de desenvolvimento organizacional e social.
This research aimed to examine diversity and inclusion in the naval sector from different perspectives regarding their strategic value for management. The research methodology combined exploratory interviews, document analysis, and a survey conducted with potential professionals. The results indicated that diversity is recognized as a competitive advantage, yet perceptions of risk and low attractiveness associated with the sector persist. The main conclusions highlight the need for structured policies that strengthen multicultural integration, improve the sector's image, and promote diversity as a driver of organizational and social development
