This internship report was developed within the scope of the II Master's Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing for the Person in Perioperative Situation. Its elaboration aims at the critical and reflective analysis of the process of acquiring common competencies of the specialist nurse and specific competencies of the specialist nurse in the area of Nursing for the Person in Perioperative Situation, during the internships carried out in a surgical center. The perioperative environment is highly technological, complex and with a high risk for professionals and patients, requiring the nurse to make quick and well-founded decisions as well as continuous and safe surveillance. In this context, the digital transformation of perioperative care and the increasing incorporation of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, support the specialist nurse in their clinical practice, optimizing nursing care. To understand the technological support for the perioperative nurse, a scoping review was carried out that allowed identifying and mapping the contributions of Artificial Intelligence to the practice of specialized nursing in a perioperative context. The main contributions identified include support in clinical decision-making, advanced patient monitoring with a positive impact on anticipating complications, and workflow optimization by reducing the nurse's administrative burden and promoting greater availability for direct care. The preparation of the scoping review contributed to the development of master's level skills, promoting critical reflection, continuous improvement of care, and application of the best scientific evidence in clinical practice. The report is supported by Rozzano Locsin's Theory of Technological Competence as Nursing Care, complemented by Patricia Benner's model of expertise acquisition, allowing for the interpretation of competency development throughout the clinical journey, in the context of an internship, articulating it with the ethical principles of nursing as a future specialist nurse.
