Esta pesquisa investiga de que forma metodologias do design podem atuar como catalisadoras no fortalecimento do mercado de arte contemporânea e na promoção de artistas emergentes em Portugal e no Brasil. A partir de uma abordagem qualitativa, fundamentada em entrevistas, análise documental e revisão crítica da literatura, mapeou-se os desafios enfrentados por artistas em início de carreira e as dinâmicas deste mercado com o objetivo de gerar insights estratégicos e propor soluções orientadas por serviços, visando a melhoria e o fortalecimento de um ecossistema artístico mais inclusivo e sustentável. Propôs-se assim uma solução inovadora, baseada nos insights mapeados e nas metodologias do design, que auxilia a inserção de artistas emergentes no mercado, ao mesmo tempo em que melhora a dinâmica colaborativa entre artistas, profissionais do setor da arte e colecionadores, fomentando conexões mais equitativas e acessíveis.
This research investigates how design methodologies can act as catalysts in strengthening the contemporary art market and promoting emerging artists in Portugal and Brazil. Based on a qualitative approach, grounded in interviews, document analysis, and critical literature review, it mapped the challenges faced by early-career artists and the dynamics of this market with the aim of generating strategic insights and proposing service-oriented solutions to improve and strengthen a more inclusive and sustainable artistic ecosystem. An innovative solution was thus proposed, based on the mapped insights and design methodologies, which assists the integration of emerging artists into the market while enhancing the collaborative dynamics among artists, art sector professionals, and collectors, fostering more equitable and accessible connections.
