O futebol para além de ser considerado um dos maiores fenómenos da nossa contemporaneidade é também reputado como sendo o desporto mais popular do mundo. Contudo, é das modalidades mais controversas, não pela prática desportiva em si mas sim, pelos seus intervenientes. Especificamente, pelos seus adeptos.
Tendo em conta o estado atual da sociedade e, atendendo-se a que as pessoas estão cada vez mais intolerantes e agressivas, o que não falta são notícias sobre confrontos violentos perpetrados por adeptos especialmente, em dias de jogo.
Portanto, coisa nada estranha ao mundo do futebol é o fenómeno sociológico denominado de “hooliganismo”, cada vez mais comum em Portugal e cujo crescimento se demostra exponencial. Esta questão só por si, começa a preocupar sociólogos, juristas e também, o cidadão comum que apenas pretende assistir a uma partida desportiva com amigos, família ou até mesmo sozinho num estádio, sem ser incomodado.
Deste modo, o futebol que é um movimento de cultura, de diversão e de festa, transporta cada vez mais situações de violência, ódio, xenofobia e racismo por parte dos seus adeptos, o que impacta negativamente a sociedade civil.
Face a esses acontecimentos, os clubes desportivos desempenham um papel fundamental em mitigá-los uma vez que, esse tipo de comportamento reprovável e perigoso parte sempre dos seus apoiantes.
Esta dissertação visa assim, tornar claro para o leitor a forma como a responsabilidade dos clubes desportivos pelo comportamento incorreto dos seus adeptos é acionada e que impactos poderá tal trazer para todos os envolvidos.
Será então “A Responsabilidade dos Clubes Desportivos pelo Hooliganismo dos Seus Adeptos” o tema central desta dissertação, por ser uma questão tão mediática mas, pouco estudada.
Soccer in addition to being considered one of the greatest phenomena of our time, is also reputed to be the most popular sport in the world. However, it is one of the most controversial modalities, not because of the practice of sports per se, but because of its participants. Specifically, by its supporters. Taking into account the current state of society and given that people are increasingly intolerant and aggressive, there is no shortage of news about violent clashes perpetrated by fans, especially on match days. Therefore, something not strange to the world of football is the sociological phenomenon called "hooliganism", increasingly common in Portugal and whose growth is proving exponential. This question alone begins to worry sociologists, jurists and also the common citizen who just wants to watch a sports match with friends, family or even alone in a stadium, without being disturbed. In this way, football, which is a movement of culture, entertainment and celebration, increasingly carries situations of violence, hatred, xenophobia and racism on the part of its fans, which negatively impacts civil society. In the face of these events, sports clubs play a fundamental role in mitigating them, since this type of reprehensible and dangerous behavior always comes from their supporters. This dissertation aims to make clear to the reader how the responsibility of sports clubs for the incorrect behavior of their fans is triggered and what impacts this may bring to all involved. "The Responsibility of Sports Clubs for the Hooliganism of Their Fans" will be the central theme of this dissertation, as it is such a mediatic issue but little studied.
