Introdução: A reflexão sobre o percurso formativo para a aquisição de Competências do
Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica revela-se
essencial para o desenvolvimento profissional assim como para o pessoal. A inclusão de
intervenções no plano de cuidados relativo à promoção da atividade física na criança até
dois anos de idade surge como prioridade pois implica conhecimentos e competências de
profissionais de saúde e dos seus pais/cuidadores, em associação a um meio social
promotor e a intervenções efetivas.
Este processo implica um papel complexo do enfermeiro especialista contribuindo para a
efetividade do papel parental e para a saúde da criança, promovendo hábitos de vida
saudável através de estratégias preventivas.
Objetivo: Analisar as competências inerentes ao Enfermeiro Especialista em
Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, adquiridas e desenvolvidas ao longo dos
contextos da prática clínica; identificar a evidência científica baseada nas intervenções do
Enfermeiro Especialista em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica para a promoção de atividade
física em crianças até dois anos de idade, desenvolvendo uma proposta de intervenção
que permita dar resposta às necessidades detetadas.
Metodologia: No primeiro capítulo foi adotada uma metodologia descritiva que irá
permitir a análise critico reflexiva das competências adquiridas nos diferentes contextos
de estágio. No segundo capítulo foi realizada uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura
recorrendo a bases de dados científicas e utilizando os descritores MeSH, após definição
de critérios de inclusão e exclusão.
Resultados: Desenvolveram-se Competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em
Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Juvenil, permitindo a optimização da intervenção de
enfermagem, ao longo dos contextos de prática clínica.
A Revisão Integrativa da Literatura permitiu a identificação de intervenções do
Enfermeiro Especialista na promoção da actividade física em crianças até dois anos de
idade. A pesquisa produziu um total de 322 publicações com 21 publicações a integrar a
revisão, cumprindo os critérios de elegibilidade. Os resultados da revisão categorizaram se em programas de atividade física para crianças até dois anos de idade, englobando
barreiras e facilitadores, formação e treino de enfermeiros e cuidadores, importância da
participação dos pais, das visitas domiciliárias e dos grupos sociais de apoio, e finalmente
os recursos necessários para concretizar as diferentes intervenções. Identificaram-se
intervenções realizadas em ambiente de cuidados de saúde diferenciados, cuidados de
saúde primários, domiciliar e social. As estratégias utilizadas dividem-se em várias
opções que são complementares, incluindo recursos materiais, audiovisuais/tecnológicos,
escritos, partilha de experiências e aquisição/aperfeiçoamento de competências
/habilidades.
Conclusões: O Enfermeiro Especialista em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica desempenha um
papel preponderante na promoção dos programas de atividade física nos diferentes
contextos de atuação. Fica ainda demonstrado nesta revisão que a sua atuação
sistematizada, orientando intervenções e respectivas estratégias, desde o nascimento, se
traduz na otimização de prestação de cuidados especializados e em ganhos para a saúde
da criança e da sua família
Introduction: Reflecting on the training path for the acquisition of Child and Pediatric Health Nursing Specialist Skills proves to be essential both for professional and personal development. The inclusion of interventions in the care plan regarding the promotion of physical activity in children up to two years of age is a priority since it implies knowledge and skills of health professionals and their parents/caregivers, in association with a promoting social environment and effective interventions. This process implies a complex role for nursing specialists, contributing to the effectiveness of parental role and children´s health, promoting healthy lifestyle habits through preventive strategies. Objective: To analyze the inherent skills to Child and Pediatric Health Nursing Specialists, acquired and developed throughout the contexts of clinical practice; to identify the scientific evidence based on the interventions of Child and Pediatric Health Nursing Specialists for the promotion of physical activity in children up to two years of age, developing an intervention proposal that allows responding to the detected needs. Methodology: In the first chapter, a descriptive methodology was adopted, allowing a critical and reflective analysis of skills acquired in the different internship contexts. In the second chapter, an Integrative Literature Review was carried out using scientific databases and using MeSH descriptors, after definition of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Child and Pediatric Health Nursing Specialist Skills were developed, optimizing nursing intervention, throughout the contexts of clinical practice. The Integrative Literature Review allowed the identification of Nursing Specialist interventions in promoting physical activity in children up to two years of age. The research produced a total of 322 publications with 21 publications included in the review, meeting the eligibility criteria. The review results were categorized into physical activity programs for children up to two years of age, encompassing barriers and facilitators, education and training of nurses and caregivers, importance of parental participation, home visits and social support groups, and finally the necessary resources to carry out the different interventions. Interventions were carried out in the environments of differentiated health care, primary health care, home and social care. The used strategies are divided into several options that are complementary, including material, audiovisual/technological and writing resources, shared experiences and acquiring/improving skills. Conclusions: Nursing Specialists in Child and Pediatric Health play a leading role in promoting physical activity programs in different contexts. It is also demonstrated in this review that its systematic action, guiding interventions and respective strategies, from birth, translates to the optimization of specialized care provided and health gains for children and their families.
