Abstract(s)
melhoria continua da qualidade, as guidelines Standards for Quality Improvmente
Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) has a major impact on mortality and morbidity, affecting millions of people, placing a significant burden on individuals and society. Furthermore, Respiratory Rehabilitation, in which the Specialist Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing has a leading role, is in the first line of non-pharmacological intervention for CRD and is seen as a comprehensive intervention, which includes exercise training, breathing exercises, education and behavior change. Knowledge and Health Literacy (HL) are determinants associated with the control and management of the disease, constituting a priority intervention. Thus, the promotion of knowledge and HL in people with CRD will be the theme explored. The objectives of this document are to demonstrate the acquisition of competences within the scope of Rehabilitation Nursing and to contribute to the continuous improvement of quality by identifying the most effective strategies in empowering the person. The present report uses as a methodology the continuous quality improvement project, based on the Standards for Quality Improvement Reports Excellence guidelines, where for its implementation it was decided to carry out an Integrative Literature Review in the identification of the aforementioned strategies and a critical-reflective analysis of the common competences of the Specialist Nurse, of the specific competences of the Specialist Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing and those of the Master developed and consolidated in the internship. The knowledge acquired in the context of selected clinical practice was crucial for cementing the aforementioned skills. From the work carried out, as a suggestion for improvement, it is noted that the creation of a respiratory rehabilitation program that encompasses the creation of an individualized action plan, with the existence of a case manager and using digital programs, enhance knowledge, HL and self-management of people with CRD.
