Abstract(s)
As
sistemas, refill at home, refill on the go, return from home e return on the
In food retail, there is an intense dynamic and competition, driven by more informed and demanding consumers. It is crucial to understand customers' new consumption trends to adapt to their needs. Today, consumers are more conscious about food waste and the environmental impact of their choices, which makes them more rational. Food reuse systems have numerous benefits for the entire food chain. However, the major goal is to understand whether consumers are prepared to purchase food products through these systems. For this research, scientific articles, books, and documents published by certified entities in the area were used. In addition, to complement this, six semi-structured interviews were carried out with professionals in the sector to enhance the investigation and align the results with the needs of the study. Variables that influence consumer acceptance of reuse systems were identified, such as price, sustainability, convenience, and hygiene. The questionnaire, with 313 responses, concluded that attitude affects intention, as opposed to perception. Companies should consider increasing product offerings in these systems, as the results show a favorable bias towards potential adoption by respondents. The preference among the systems, refill at home, refill on the go, return from home e return on the go, is directly related to the accessibility of the current offering.
