Abstract(s)
promoção do exercício físico durante a gravidez.
estilos de vida saudáveis, englobando o exercício físico no decorrer do ensino clínico,
focando-me no período pré-natal.
The internship report aims to reflect the course of competence acquisition, common to the Specialist Nurse, specific to the Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing (EEESMO), and the academic degree of Master, describing the activities that were developed throughout the teaching clinic in different contexts. Physical exercise is one of the health habits that improve the quality of life, at any stage of the life cycle. Pregnancy is no exception, however, it is often neglected, due to fears on the part of the pregnant woman and lack of promotion of physical exercise during pregnancy by health professionals. In this way, the project “The Obstetric Nurse in the Promotion of Physical Exercise during Pregnancy – Benefits for women's quality of life” was developed, whose main objective was to develop skills in promoting physical exercise during pregnancy. Its specific objectives were the acquisition of knowledge, in order to promote physical exercise during pregnancy in an informed, specialized and safe way; identify the benefits of this practice during pregnancy and reflect on the role of EEESMO as a promoter of healthy lifestyles, encompassing physical exercise during clinical teaching, focusing on the prenatal period. A descriptive exploratory study was carried out, initially a scoping review was carried out in order to base the practice on the best scientific evidence, and the benefits of physical exercise during pregnancy were mapped. After this mapping, two data collection instruments were developed and applied: a questionnaire for specialists in physical exercise and a questionnaire for women who have practiced physical exercise during pregnancy. Many of the results of the scoping review coincided with the results analyzed during the reporting stage, with pregnant women who practiced physical exercise during pregnancy reporting the same results obtained in the scoping review. In this way, I express the importance of promoting physical exercise during pregnancy by the obstetrician nurse, in order to provide the pregnant woman with a positive experience of pregnancy, culminating in the improvement of her quality of life.
