This report appears within the scope of the Master's in Child Health and Pediatric Nursing and aims to portray the learning process, accomplished during the several clinical teachings, and reflect on the acquisition and development of the common skills of the Specialist Nurse, the specific skills of the Nurse Specialist in Child and Pediatric Health, and the Master skills. In the first chapter, based on a descriptive and critical-reflexive methodology, it is demonstrated that the common skills of the Specialist Nurse were developed in the four domains, excelling on the professional, ethical and legal responsibility, and the improvement of professional learning, care management, and the quality of care. It is also demonstrated, through a holistic and culturally sensitive approach, the development of the specific skills of the Nurse Specialist in Child and Pediatric Health, assisting the child/young person and family in maximizing their health, caring for this binomial in situations of special complexity, and providing care in response to the needs of the cycle of the child/young person, enhancing growth and development. Considering the scope of intervention for child/young people and families, several Nursing Theories and Models were used to ensure the quality of care. This academic path contributed greatly to personal and professional growth. In the second chapter, the Master's skills are highlighted through the development of a scoping review, using the methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute. This review made it possible to map nursing interventions that promote parental hope in prematurity, from Prenatal Care to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Primary Health Care, being categorized into ten themes: Therapeutic Relationship, with Communication as a subcategory; Family-Centered Care; Uncertainty Management; Objectives/Goals; Attachment; Parental Empowerment; Growth and Development; Spirituality; Positive Messages; and Support Groups. The interconnection of these interventions with Dufault and Martocchio's Multidimensional Model of Hope assists Nurse Specialist in Child and Pediatric Health to be a source of hope, helping parents find meaning in suffering and transcend the impact of the spiritually devastating circumstances associated with prematurity.
