Resumo(s)
O presente relatório, analisa ao pormenor a evolução de programas televisivos
de procura de familiares no início do século XXI e como o seu papel mediador alterou
com a chegada das redes sociais.
O foco desta investigação, baseia-se em compreender por que motivo estes programas
faziam sentido num contexto mediático, onde a televisão era o principal elo entre a
comunicação e a informação.
Em contrapartida, é debatido como o avanço das redes sociais e das plataformas digitais
alteraram abruptamente, permitindo que os próprios visados, façam as suas pesquisas e
reconexões com os familiares de forma autónoma e sem necessitar de recorrer a
plataformas televisivas e se exporem se forma tão mediática.
Toda esta análise é fundamentada após a experiência prática de estágio no programa
Separados Pela Vida (CMTV), combinando com observação direta, estudos de casos e
ainda revisão bibliográfica, o que me permitiu realizar uma reflexão crítica sobre a
evolução da procura de familiares e o papel dos meios de comunicação no século XXI.
This report analyses in detail the evolution of television programs searching for family members in the early 21st century and how their mediating role has changed with the advent of social media. The focus of this research is based on understanding why these programs made sense in a media context where television was the main link between communication and information. In contrast, it discusses how the advancement of social media and digital platforms has abruptly changed this, allowing those involved to conduct their own searches and reconnect with family members independently, without needing to resort to television platforms and expose themselves in such a media-driven way. This entire analysis is based on practical experience gained during an internship on the program Separados Pela Vida (CMTV), combined with direct observation, case studies, and a review of the literature, which allowed me to critically reflect on the evolution of the search for family members and the role of the media in the 21st century.
