| dc.description.abstract | No período de duração do estágio, de Março a Julho de 2023, foi dada a oportunidade ao estagiário de acompanhar um projeto de dimensões consideráveis, com cerca de 110ha, totalmente em Modo de Produção Biológico (BIO). Uma nova área de citrinos (laranja, limão e lima, esta última como um teste pelo seu crescente valor no mercado). A área em questão está situada em Figueira dos Cavaleiros, concelho de Ferreira do Alentejo, distrito de Beja e dispõem de água do perímetro de rega do Alqueva. Um projeto audacioso, inovador pelo facto de se focar no modo de produção BIO, desde a instalação da cultura. O projeto está a cargo da “TastyFruits Lda”, uma empresa recente que nasceu da sociedade entre dois amigos e o grupo Jerónimo Martins Agro-Alimentar (JMA). Os citrinos têm ganho nos últimos anos mais expressão no nosso país, principalmente fora da sua área de eleição, o Algarve. Foi possível acompanhar a quase totalidade da instalação do novo pomar e ainda acompanhar as outras duas herdades já instaladas. O estagiário experienciou no campo, quanto a área agrícola é um desafio constante, uma incerteza. Diariamente foi confrontado com condicionantes que não é possível controlar. Como por exemplo a impossibilidade de realizar tratamentos por causa das situações climáticas, e o quão difícil é gerir pessoas. Embora existam inúmeras tecnologias a disposição, nem sempre se consegue controlar tudo, dando como exemplo o caso de uma rutura de rega inesperada que impede todo o sistema de funcionar corretamente. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | During the period of the internship, from March to July 2023, the intern was given the opportunity to monitor a project of considerable size, with around 110ha, entirely in Organic Production Mode (BIO). A new citrus grove (orange, lemon and lime, the latter as a test for its growing value on the market). The area in question is located in Figueira dos Cavaleiros, in the municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo, in the district of Beja, and has water from the Alqueva irrigation perimeter. It's an audacious project, innovative in that it focuses on BIO production right from the moment the crop is planted. The project is the responsibility of "TastyFruits Lda", a recent company that was born out of a partnership between two friends and the Jerónimo Martins Agro-Alimentar (JMA) group. In recent years, citrus fruits have become more popular in Portugal, especially outside their native Algarve. It was possible to monitor almost the entire installation of the new orchard and also the other two estates that had already been set up. The trainee experienced in the field how the agricultural area is a constant challenge, an uncertainty. On a daily basis, he was confronted with constraints that he could not control. For example, the impossibility of carrying out treatments because of the weather, and how difficult it is to manage people. Although there are countless technologies at your disposal, you can't always control everything, such as the case of an unexpected irrigation break that prevents the whole system from working. | pt_PT |
