O presente artigo dá conta de um roteiro sobre a presença negra em Setúbal, nos séculos XV a XVIII, concebidoenquanto “aula-passeio”, espaço de educação não formal sobre o colonialismo português. Pretende-sesuscitar o rompimento com a narrativa lusotropicalista,entender a escravatura como um sistema complexo e parte de conflitos geopolíticos globaise conduziros participantes na“descoberta” de como os outrosestão, afinal, em nós.
This paper presents a roadmap on the Black presence in Setúbal, in the XV to XVIIIcentury’s, designed as a "walking-class", anon-formal education space aboutthe Portuguese colonialism. It is intended, first and foremost, to break with the Luso-tropicalist narrative;to understand slavery as a complex system and part of global geopolitical conflicts;but also to lead participants to the “discovery” of how the othersare, after all, in us.
