Abstract(s)
A segurança contra incêndios nos centros urbanos é um assunto de grande importância, não
apenas pelo risco que pode representar para vidas humanas, mas também pelo risco que
representa ao seu valor patrimonial, cultural e histórico que todos devemos proteger.
Com este trabalho pretende-se abordar o tema de segurança contra incêndio em centros
urbanos antigos. Essa abordagem passa pela caraterização e avaliação de risco de incêndio através da aplicação de quatro métodos.
A escolha do tema bem como a sua aplicação ao edifício da Cooperativa Operária Robinson
deveu-se a uma necessidade sentida pelos órgãos representativos desta instituição em reabilitar
este espaço histórico e cultural da cidade de Portalegre.
A análise realizada permitiu concluir que o edifício apresenta um índice de risco superior aos
desejáveis em todos os métodos escolhidos.
Por último procedeu-se a uma comparação entre os vários métodos, comparação dos
resultados obtidos entre eles e uma análise que permitisse verificar qual o método que melhor
enquadra no caso de estudo
The fire safety in urban centers is a matter of great importance, not only for the risk that they might represent for human lives, but also to the risk, that represents to its patrimonial, cultural and historical value that we must all protect. This work intend to approach the theme of fire safety in ancient urban centers.This approach involves the characterization and evaluation of fire risk through the application of four methods. The choice of the theme as well as its application to the Cooperativa Operária Robinson building was due to a need felt by the representative bodies of this institution in rehabilitating this historical and cultural space of the city of Portalegre. The analysis allowed to conclude that the building has a higher than desirable risk index in all the chosen methods. Finally, a comparison was made between the different methods, comparing the results obtained between them and an analysis that allowed to verify which of the methods that best fit the case study
