O presente estudo intitulado Violência Doméstica – O Peso da Avaliação de Risco na Violência Doméstica procura analisar a importância que a avaliação de risco tem na prevenção e no combate ao crime de violência doméstica. Ou seja, pretendemos saber até que ponto a avaliação de risco, implementada pela PSP no período compreendido entre 15 de Novembro de 2012 e 15 de Dezembro de 2012, veio contribuir para melhorar a eficácia policial no combate ao crime de violência doméstica e até que ponto estas medidas poderão contribuir para o cessar da revitimação da vítima deste fenómeno criminal.
A investigação realizou-se com recurso à técnica da entrevista semi-estruturada, recolhendo informações junto daqueles, que trabalham directamente com situações de violência doméstica, e que devido à natureza das suas funções profissionais, são considerados informadores policiais qualificados. Através destes foram-nos transmitidas as dificuldades sentidas no exercício da actuação policial assim como o método de prevenção do crime de violência doméstica, que passa essencialmente por um policiamento de proximidade que se traduz no acompanhamento e encaminhamento da vítima, porém foi-nos também transmitido que a avaliação de risco implementada, apesar de denotar melhorias, ainda se encontra na necessidade de colmatar certas limitações.
The current study, named Domestic Violence – The Relevance of the threat evaluation in Domestic Violence looks to understand the importance that the threat evaluation has in preventing and combating the crime against domestic violence. That is, we care to know until which point the risky evaluation, implemented by PSP on the time between 15 of November and 15 of December, 2012, actually contributes to improve the police efficacy in combating crime against domestic violence and until which point these measures will contribute to stop the revictimization of the victim of this criminal phenomenon. The investigation was executed using a semi-structured interview technique, collecting information with those who worked directly with situations of domestic violence, and, due to the nature of their professional functions, are considered qualified police informants. Through these professionals, the difficulties felt in police action were transmitted to us, and the method of preventing the crime of domestic violence, which is made essentially by a proximity policing, meaning the accompaniment and the leading of the victim. However, we were also informed that the risky evaluation implemented, though denoting some improvements, still has the necessity of filling some of its limitations.
