Esta dissertação analisa a transformação digital das empresas portuguesas, avaliando a integração das tecnologias da Indústria 4.0, o grau de maturidade digital e os principais desafios e benefícios associados. A investigação baseou-se numa revisão da literatura e num inquérito quantitativo aplicado a 82 empresas nacionais. Os resultados mostram que a maioria se encontra em fases iniciais ou intermédias, com apenas uma pequena percentagem a alcançar integração tecnológica avançada. Identificam-se como principais barreiras os custos, a falta de competências e a resistência à mudança. Conclui-se que a digitalização está a evoluir e que existem oportunidades claras para acelerar esta evolução.
This dissertation analyzes the digital transformation of Portuguese companies, assessing the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies, the degree of digital maturity, and the main challenges and benefits associated with it. The research was based on a literature review and a quantitative survey applied to 82 national companies. The results show that most are in the early or intermediate stages, with only a small percentage achieving advanced technological integration. The main barriers identified are costs, lack of skills, and resistance to change. It is concluded that digitization is evolving and that there are clear opportunities to accelerate this evolution.
