Sendo a Expressão Musical uma área que contribui para o desenvolvimento da criança, tem de acontecer desde cedo através da estimulação das crianças, ocupando assim um papel crucial na aquisição de aprendizagens e competências.
Este projecto tem como principal objectivo compreender a importância da expressão musical na educação de infância, abrangendo assim as faixas etárias compreendidas entre os 0 e 6 anos.
Para tornar mais claro, foi feita uma investigação sobre a prática educativa das educadoras cooperantes e foram implementadas atividades que abordam esta área de conteúdo. Assim existiu uma recolha de dados relativos às atividades e estratégias desenvolvidas com os diferentes grupos.
Com este projeto as principais conclusões são: a expressão musical, quando vista como área privilegiada do currículo, promove o desenvolvimento da criança conseguindo desenvolver várias capacidades.
