Abstract(s)
O presente relatório, produzido durante o Estágio de Natureza Profissional – Módulo II, parte
integrante do plano de estudos do segundo Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-cirúrgica, na Área
de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Perioperatória, da Escola Superior de Enfermagem do
Porto, regista, detalha e examina as atividades realizadas e o impacto da componente clínica no
crescimento pessoal e profissional, ilustrando o percurso de desenvolvimento das competências
comuns e específicas com vista à especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na Área da
Pessoa em Situação Perioperatória, tendo por base uma metodologia crítica, descritiva e
reflexiva apoiada nos saberes teórico-práticos e nas competências adquiridas.
O Estágio de Natureza Profissional teve lugar no Bloco Operatório Central e no Bloco Operatório
Especialidades de uma instituição hospitalar portuguesa do norte, conferindo uma oportunidade
para a aquisição de competências clínicas singulares e distintas da prática habitual, num
ambiente de aplicação e intercâmbio de experiências e saberes. Foi dada uma atenção especial
à segurança e qualidade dos cuidados, o que resultou no desenvolvimento do projeto
“SilentCare”, focado na exposição ao ruído intraoperatório. Este projeto incluiu a realização de
uma scoping review, contribuindo para o aumento do conhecimento baseado na melhor
evidência acerca desta temática. O relatório apresenta ainda dois casos clínicos que
exemplificam a tomada de decisão e a representação do conhecimento e da ação da
enfermagem especializada em situações concretas de cuidados perioperatórios.
O percurso deste estágio foi orientado pelo projeto individual de desenvolvimento de
competências clínicas especializadas, criado durante o Estágio de Natureza Profissional – Módulo
I, tendo sido fundamental para a aplicação integrada de conhecimentos e a aquisição das
competências clínicas do enfermeiro especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na Área da
Pessoa em Situação Perioperatória. As atividades do projeto “SilentCare” permitiram não só a
obtenção de competências nesta área de especialidade e uma contribuição para a qualidade
dos cuidados perioperatórios, com uma elevação da consciência cirúrgica, como também o
desenvolvimento de competências de mestre em Enfermagem, através da investigação e da
utilização constante de um pensamento crítico e reflexivo na prática e sobre a prática.
This report, produced during the Professional Internship – Module II, an integral part of the study plan of the second Master's Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the Area of Nursing for People in Perioperative Situations, at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto, records, details and examines the activities carried out and the impact of the clinical component on personal and professional growth, illustrating the path of development of common and specific skills aiming a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the Area of People in Perioperative Situations, based on a critical, descriptive and reflective methodology supported by theoretical-practical knowledge and acquired skills. The Professional Internship took place in the Central Operating Room and the Specialties Operating Room of a portuguese northern hospital institution, providing an opportunity to acquire unique clinical skills that are different from the usual practice, in an environment of application and exchange of experiences and knowledge. Special attention was paid to safety and quality of care, which resulted in the development of the “SilentCare” project, focused on intraoperative noise exposure. This project included carrying out a scoping review, contributing to increasing knowledge based on the best evidence on this topic. The report also presents two clinical cases that exemplify decision-making and the representation of knowledge and action of specialized nursing in concrete situations of perioperative care. The course of this internship was guided by the individual specialized clinical skills development project, created during the Professional Nature Internship – Module I, having been fundamental for the integrated application of knowledge and the acquisition of clinical skills of the specialist nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the Area of People in Perioperative Situations. The activities of the “SilentCare” project allowed not only the acquisition of skills in this area of specialty and a contribution to the quality of perioperative care, with an increase in surgical awareness, but also the development of master's skills in Nursing, through research and the constant use of critical and reflective thinking in practice and about practice.
